Albus is a place to play casual games, hang out with friends, and stream when you feel like it. These Guidelines describe the kind of behavior we expect — and the lines we don't allow anyone to cross. They apply everywhere on Albus: in chat, in streams, in DMs, in profiles, and in any content you upload.
Be a decent human. Don't harass people. Don't cheat. Don't stream stuff you'd be embarrassed for a friend's parent to see. Break the rules and we may remove content, mute, suspend, or ban — depending on how serious it is.
The vibe
Albus skews casual, social, and welcoming. Smack talk during a Ludo match is fine; making someone feel unsafe isn't. Streamers set the energy of their room — viewers, follow their lead. If a streamer asks the chat to chill, chill.
Core rules
The following are not allowed anywhere on Albus, in any form (text, voice, video, art, gifts, usernames, or bios):
- Harassment & hate. Targeted abuse, threats, slurs, or hate against anyone based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or serious illness.
- Sexual content involving minors. Zero tolerance. Reported to the relevant authorities.
- Sexually explicit content. Albus is not an adult platform. No nudity, no explicit acts, no sexually suggestive minors regardless of how it's framed.
- Real-world violence & gore. No glorification of violence, no graphic injury, no terrorism or organized-crime promotion.
- Self-harm content. No glorification or instructions for self-harm or suicide. If you're struggling, please reach out to a local helpline.
- Illegal activity. No drug sales, no weapon trafficking, no doxxing, no human trafficking.
- Doxxing & privacy violations. Don't share anyone's private info — address, phone number, ID, login, or anything similar — without consent.
- Impersonation. Don't pretend to be Albus staff, another user, or a public figure in a way intended to deceive.
- Spam & scams. No mass-message spam, phishing, "free Coins" scams, or pyramid schemes.
- Malware & exploits. Don't share or link to anything that could harm someone's device or account.
Streaming & chat
Streamers, you're the host. You're responsible for what happens on your stream. We expect you to:
- Set a clear privacy level (Public, Friends-Only, or Invite-Only) appropriate for your audience.
- Use the moderation tools we give you — slow mode, blocklists, follower-only chat — when things get rowdy.
- Mute or report viewers who break the rules instead of arguing with them on stream.
- Keep mature themes off Public streams. Anything inappropriate for a 13-year-old does not belong on Public streams.
Viewers, you're a guest in someone else's room. Don't:
- Spam chat or copy-paste large blocks.
- Demand the streamer's attention or make them feel unsafe.
- Send unsolicited DMs to streamers you don't know.
- Brigade or coordinate harassment from another platform.
Gifting fairness
Artifact gifting is a core part of how Albus works. Keep it fun, not weaponized:
- Don't use gifts to harass, manipulate, or pressure streamers (including "donate to do X" demands attached to gifts).
- Don't use gifts as a wash for fraudulent or stolen payment methods. Confirmed fraud means a permanent ban and forfeiture of related Coins.
- Daily gifting limits exist to prevent spam — please don't try to circumvent them.
- Streamers who solicit "tribute" gifts in exchange for content not allowed on Albus are violating these Guidelines.
Fair play in games
The whole point of casual gaming is that it's fun for everyone. Don't ruin it:
- No cheats, hacks, modified clients, automation, or exploits.
- No alt-account smurfing to dominate matchmaking against new players.
- No throwing, griefing, or AFK farming in multiplayer.
- No buying, selling, or trading accounts. Each account is meant for one person.
- No real-money trading of Artifacts or Coins outside the gifting features we provide.
Protecting minors
Albus has users as young as 13 in many regions. We take their safety seriously, and we ask the whole community to.
- Don't try to contact minors privately, especially if you're an adult and you don't know them.
- Don't ask minors for photos, calls, or personal information.
- Streamers under 18 should default to Friends-Only or Invite-Only and avoid sharing identifying info on stream.
- Viewers: if a stream looks like a minor in a vulnerable situation, report it. Don't engage.
Conduct that targets minors will result in a permanent ban and may be reported to law enforcement.
Music & copyrighted content
Only stream content you have the rights to. That means:
- Don't play full-length copyrighted music in the background of streams.
- Don't restream other creators' content (movies, sports, livestreams) without permission.
- Don't use trademarks or logos in ways that suggest endorsement.
Repeated copyright violations will result in account termination. To file a copyright complaint, see our Terms of Service or email dmca@albus.games.
Reporting
If you see something that breaks these Guidelines, report it:
- Tap the three-dot menu on a profile, stream, message, or VOD and choose Report.
- For urgent safety issues (threats, child safety, doxxing), email trust@albus.games with a link to the content.
- If you or someone else is in immediate danger in real life, contact local emergency services first.
Reports are anonymous to the reported user. Misuse of reports (mass-reporting innocent users) is itself a violation.
How we enforce
We use a mix of automated systems and human moderators. Depending on the violation, we may:
| Action | When we use it |
|---|---|
| Warning | Minor first-time issue. |
| Content removal | Specific message, stream, VOD, or artifact in violation. |
| Mute / chat restriction | Repeated chat violations. |
| Feature restriction | Loss of streaming, gifting, or DMs for a set period. |
| Temporary suspension | Serious or repeated violations. |
| Permanent ban | Severe violations or evasion of suspensions. |
Severe categories — child safety, credible threats, terrorism, fraud — go straight to permanent ban without warning, and we may report them to law enforcement.
Appeals
If you think we got it wrong, you can appeal. Reply to the enforcement notification or email appeals@albus.games within 30 days. We'll have a different team member review your case and we'll respond within 14 days.
