This Cookie Policy explains how Albus, Inc. ("Albus", "we", "us") uses cookies and similar technologies on our web client at albus.games. It works alongside our Privacy Policy, which has more detail on how we handle personal data overall.
We use a small number of cookies — most of them just to keep you logged in and the site secure. You can turn off non-essential cookies from the banner the first time you visit, and change your mind any time from Settings.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website saves on your device. They let the site remember things between visits — like that you're logged in, what theme you've picked, or which language you prefer. We also use related technologies like local storage and session storage in your browser. We treat all of these the same way for the purposes of this Policy.
Categories we use
We group cookies into three categories. Only the first one is required for Albus to work — you can turn the others on or off.

These keep your session alive, keep your account secure, and help us prevent abuse. Without them the Service simply won't work.

Third-party cookies
A few of our service providers may set their own cookies on the web client. They each have their own privacy and cookie policies.
- Stripe — fraud prevention during web Coin top-ups (where available).
- Cloudflare — performance and bot protection.
- Sentry — error monitoring (no personal data in the cookie itself).
Managing cookies
You can manage cookies in three ways:
- Our cookie banner appears the first time you visit. Pick your preferences and we'll remember them.
- Cookie settings in your account preferences let you change your mind any time.
- Your browser can block or delete cookies — see your browser's help pages. Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies will break the Service.
We also respect Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals where applicable, and treat them as an opt-out of non-essential cookies.
Mobile apps
The Albus mobile apps don't use browser cookies, but they use similar device identifiers (such as advertising IDs and app instance IDs) for the same purposes — keeping you logged in, securing your account, and measuring performance. You can reset these from your device settings.
Changes
We'll update this Policy when we add or remove cookies. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the current version. Material changes are also announced in-app.
